Black & Decker is a popular name when it comes to power tools, and with several cordless options for tools, the company has gone with the green living flow as well. All of their cordless power tools are rechargeable, and this includes trimmers. Cordless trimmers come with two batteries so you will not have to stop trimming and charge up the battery in the middle of working.
Things You'll Need
Fully charged battery
Charger
Electrical outlet
Hold the trimmer upright.
Slide the discharged battery pack off. The battery pack is typically located under the handles. Refer to your manual for specifics for your model.
Slide the fully charged battery onto the battery terminal until it clicks. Now it is securely in place and you can finish the trimming.
Take the discharged battery and place it on the charger.
Plug the charger into an electrical outlet.
Charge until the indicator light comes on. Each model takes different amounts of time, ranging from 1 hour to 24 hours.
Tips & Warnings
These battery chargers come with a function that will allow the batteries to remain in the chargers without doing any damage to the battery from overcharging. However, if you do not plan on using the battery for a week or more, take it off the charger, store it in a cool ,dry environment protected from the elements and extreme temperatures and unplug the charger. These batteries can be nickel cadmium or lithium ion rechargeable batteries. Refer to your manual for more information.
