The Rainbird 3500 rotor sprinkler features two settings that can be adjusted. The radius setting controls how far the stream of water reaches, with a maximum reach of 35 feet. The arc setting determines how wide of an arc the sprinkler turns in with each pass, which ranges between 40 to 360 degrees. Each setting can be adjusted using a flat blade screwdriver.
Things You'll Need
Flat blade screwdriver
Radius instructions
Identify the radius adjustment screw located on the top of the sprinkler head directly above the spray nozzle.
Insert the flat blade screwdriver into the radius adjustment slot.
Fit the tip of the screwdriver into the groove on the top of the adjustment screw.
Turn the screw clockwise to decrease the water throw distance.
Turn the screw counter-clockwise to increase the water throw distance.
Arc instructions
Identify the arc adjustment slot located on the top of the sprinkler head, opposite the radius adjustment slot.
Insert the flat blade screwdriver into the arc adjustment slot.
Fit the tip of the screwdriver into the groove on the top of the adjustment screw.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise, or toward the plus sign, to increase the arc.
Turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise, or toward the minus sign, to decrease the arc.

Making the radius and arc adjustments while the sprinkler is running ensures proper settings are achieved.
