Japanese beetles are a pest to any gardener. They begin their life cycle as a grub that chews on the roots of plants, and as adults they eat the leaves of plants. The Japanese beetle will kill grass, trees and flowers. Getting rid of these insects is difficult, but not impossible. A soapy mixture sprayed on your plants can deter these unwanted beetles and save your plants from being destroyed.
Things You'll Need
Water
Spray Bottle
Blender
2 tbsp. castor oil soap
1 cup dead beetles
Blend 1 cup of dead beetles to liquefy them.
Add water to the blended beetles and blend again. The mixture should be thin enough so it passes through the sprayer's nozzle.
Pour 2 tbsp. castor oil soap into the spray bottle with the beetle and water mixture.
Spray the top and bottom of leaves in your garden. Repeat every 2 days.
Tips & Warnings
Spraying plants with mixture may kill beneficial insects also.
