Crocosmia Lucifer bulbs
Choose a spot to plant your bulbs in. The soil should be dry. The plant likes a lot of sun, so choose an area that gets direct sunlight for several hours per day.
Plant the flower in early spring; it will bud in mid to late summer. Fertilize the bed you are putting the plant in with general fertilizer or manure. Dig one hole for each bulb 4 inches deep in the soil and approximately 2 inches in diameter.
Make each hole 1 to 2 feet apart. Place bulbs in their holes and cover with soil. Pat down firmly.
Water the plant twice per week for five minutes at a time.
Tips & Warnings
In winter, cover the bed with mulch to prevent the flowers from dying in freezing weather. This is a perennial plant.
