Making personalized stepping stones from a concrete mixture and mold is a great family project. Each member of the family's stone can become a long-lasting memento when they are incorporated into a garden area or set on a pathway. To keep the personalized decorations from becoming worn, a sealer can be applied to the surface of stepping stones. Protecting the surfaces of purchased stepping stones with a sealer application is also a good idea.
Things You'll Need
Concrete sealer
Newspaper
Soft paintbrush
Place the stepping stone on the newspaper.
Apply the concrete sealer over the entire top surface of the stepping stone with the paintbrush, making sure the sealer is brushed into any indentations or engravings.
Let the sealer dry for 24 hours.
Repeat the application three times, making sure the sealer dries thoroughly for 24 hours after each application.
