If you enjoy time in your yard, you may also enjoy bird watching. Planting certain types of plants and putting out bird feeders can attract birds to your area. Another way to catch the attention of various birds is to make a bird sound with your mouth. One of the simplest and most commonly used bird noises is called a "pish." By pishing, you can imitate a bird sound and draw curious birds in your direction.
Bite down and keep your teeth clenched together.
Part your lips so that they are about 1/4 of an inch apart.
Say the word "pish" while keeping your teeth together and using a whisper-like tone. You should feel air blowing through your teeth as you do this.
Repeat the pish sound a few times rapidly, followed by several seconds of silence and then more pishing.
