The Gilmour Oscillating sprinkler evenly distributes water to your lawn without saturating it too quickly. Most turf lawns need about an inch of water per week to stay healthy and green. In some areas, watering the lawn is only necessary when there has been unusually dry conditions, while in others watering every week is necessary. Gilmour's standard oscillating sprinkler gives the area about 1/4 inch of water in an hour and a half.
Set the control knob to the desired distance.
Attach the garden hose to the sprinkler, twisting to secure.
Place the sprinkler of a flat open area of grass, making sure that there is nothing in the area that you don't want watered.
Turn on the hose. Allow the sprinkler to run until the area is sufficiently watered. Turn off the hose.
Move the sprinkler to another area of the grass, if watering a large lawn, repeating as necessary.
Disconnect the hose after use, and drain the water from the sprinkler before storing.
Tips & Warnings
Water your lawn early in the day, if possible.
Clean the spray jets with the top of the plug located on the end of the sprinkler periodically.
Do not over-water your lawn.
