The model number can be found on the serial number plate, and most are located on either the housing or engine block so they can be easily found by the operator.

Place the chain saw on its side, with the oil and fuel cap facing up.
Tighten both fuel and oil caps so nothing is spilled.
Flip the chain saw so the bottom is facing up. Locate the serial number plate. It will be exposed on the chain saw housing. On the top of the serial plate is the word "Model" followed by a combination of letters and numbers. This is the model identification.
