Echo manufactures a wide variety of lawn equipment, including chain saws, edgers, chippers and trimmers. A lawn trimmer is used to cut grass and weeds in locations inaccessible to a lawn mower. The trimmer has a head with nylon string protruding from the end that spins at a high rate of speed. When the head spins, the string moves with it, cutting grass and weeds in its path. After regular usage, the string will break and require replacement. To replace the string, you must remove the head of the trimmer.
Things You'll Need

Turn the trimmer off and lay it down with the head facing up.
Remove the bolt in the center of the head using a 9/16 socket wrench.
