The seeds also germinate into plants that have high yields with harvest dates specific to various growing zones.
Grain Varieties
DKC27-33
This variety is a grain seed. It is bred for use with both YieldGard and Roundup pesticides. The plants are rated as medium-high in height and have very good drought tolerance. It is suited to all types of soils and requires less maintenance than other varieties.
DKC43-30
This is a grain-seed variety noted for its early flowering characteristic. With the early emergence of the vegetable, it is especially well suited to challenging growing conditions in areas that may have late-season drought. The medium-short hybrid plants work with Roundup insecticides.
Dual-Purpose Varieties
DKC32-83
This variety is a dual-purpose seed bred for use as grain or silage. This hybrid is designed for high tolerance to YieldGard VT Triple insecticide. It develops medium-tall plants that have very-good drought tolerance.
DKC47-02
This seed variety is a dual-purpose corn. It tolerates Yieldgard VT Triple insecticide well. This plant is flexible in its harvest date and has been bred to have strong stalks, making it suitable for growing in locations where damage is a possibility or in which harvest might be delayed.
Genuity Based Varieties
DKC40-22
This dual-purpose seed is based on the Genuity Smartstax gene platform from which hybrid varieties of food plants are grown. The genetic hybrid has been bred for resistance to pests above and below ground through proteins in the plant itself. This variety performs well with early season planting and is rated as excellent in drought resistance.
DKC62-97
This dual-purpose seed also is the product of modern genetics. It is bred for excellent tolerance to Yieldgard VT Triple insecticide and is the product DEKALB specific genetic research based on the Genuity gene platform. Hybrids based on this platform have dual insect resistance, above and below ground and very good drought resistance.
