It has a low price tag of around $130.

Unlike the Troy Bilt TB65SS, the Stihl FS 45 has a curved-shaft, which allows it to more easily reach under and around fences, shrubs and other obstacles. As Galt Tech notes, the popular FS 45 is lightweight---at just 9 pounds, has dual strings and offers specialized Autocut cutting head technology. This allows you to release new sections of string by tapping the head of the trimmer against the ground. The FS 45 also includes a 27.22-cc, two-stroke engine and an 11.2-ounce-capacity fuel storage container. The trimmer costs about $140.

As the lawn equipment resource website the Lawn Advisor notes, all of the trimmers in Redmax's two-stroke 22-26 cc-engine line are well-balanced powerful, lightweight and easy-to start. One specific model is the Redmax BT250, which weighs 11.1-pounds, has a 25.4-cc engine and a curved shaft consisting of solid steel. Other features of the BT250 include a looped-handle for preventing slippage and a fuel tank capacity of 22 ounces. The trimmer costs around $200.

Unlike the above models of gas weed trimmer, the Echo SRM 210i uses a 21.2-cc, four-stroke engine. This means you can fuel the trimmer solely with gasoline, as opposed to a mix of gas and oil, which two-stroke models require. In addition, four-stroke engines are quieter, run smoother and pollute less. According to Galt Tech, the SRM 210i provides two cutting strings, a cutting radius of 17-inches and weighs 11.6 pounds. Other features include a 15.2-ounce capacity fuel tank and a debris shield for preventing weeds and other debris from hitting your legs. The SRM 210i is a bit pricier than the above models, costing approximately $240.
