Things You'll Need
Lily bulbs
Garden shovel
Enriched potting soil compost
Plant the lily bulbs in April or later. You want the soil frost free and somewhat warm so the lily bulb will germinate and sprout.
Choose a location to plant the lily bulbs that is sunny and well-drained.
Dig an 8-by-8 inch hole in the ground.
Fill the hole with two inches of enriched potting soil compost. Press the lily bulb root side down into the soil. Fill the hole up with the enriched potting soil compost.
Keep the soil moist, but not saturated. Water the plant 1 to 2 times a week.
