MTD Yard Machine push mowers have two different styles; the standard discharge model and models with a mulching bag. The rear bag connects to the mower and catches any grass that is cut. Grass mulched in the bag can be used in the compost pile after it is disposed. Properly attaching the bag prevents clumps of grass clogging the back of the mower and reducing the efficiency and power of the mower while cutting the lawn.
Things You'll Need
Bag assembly
Screwdriver
Slide the rear and front frames together.
Slide the rear frame into the sewn guides on the mower bag up to the beginning of the front frame.
Clip the front frame into the plastic channels on the front of the bag.
Slide the bag handle into top of the hard top grass catcher frame. Place the mounting bracket facing up under the front of the handle. Insert the screw and tighten it down with a Philips head screwdriver.
