There is nothing better than lounging outside on a beautiful day in your hammock. Whether you are swinging in the breeze along a beach somewhere or just hanging out in your back yard, hammocks and hammock chairs cannot be beat for their comfort and ease of use. Many consumers purchase their own hammock chairs so that they can then enjoy the comfort and relaxation provided by this luxury at home on inclement days. If you have purchased a hammock chair and are ready to hang it indoors, follow these simple steps to get started.
Things You'll Need
Ladder
Stud finder
Drill
Eyelet screw
Pliers
Find a suitable location where you want to hang the hammock chair. Use the stud finder to locate a rafter going through the ceiling (turn the stud finder on and then slowly pass it across the ceiling until it beeps). Set the ladder and have a helper steady it for you. Drill a small hole in the location along the rafter where you want to mount the hammock chair.
Screw the eyelet screw into the hole you just drilled, using your hands or the pliers. Screw the bolt all the way up to the shank of the screw shaft.
Hook the main mounting hook of the hammock chair into the eyelet screw and then use the adjustment ropes to adjust the height of the hammock from the ground. Climb into the chair to test it out.
Tips & Warnings
You can perform the same process and mount the chair in a porch roof.
